HALLOWEEN: THE LOOMIS PROPHECY: CONCLUSION

INT. POLICE CAR - LATE AFTERNOON

SHERIFF BRACKETT and JESSICA get into his police car. They drive no more than two blocks and see a caravan of about five cars and one big truck with the words 'HALLOWEEN: LONG LIVE MICHAEL MYERS' emblazoned on the side of the truck with a wicked pumpkin and Michael Myers' mask superimposed over it shooting flames out of its eyes. 

LEIGH BRACKETT: "Goddamn it! (Hits the horn and turns on his flashing lights and yet the traffic barely moves at all) No goddamn respect for the goddamn police!"

BRACKETT turns on his sirens and drives to the HADDONFIELD TOWN SQUARE. 

EXT. HADDONFIELD TOWN SQUARE - LATE AFTERNOON

BRACKETT sees MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT on a makeshift stage, speaking to a large crowd. BRACKETT and JESSICA get out of the car and hustle through the crowd. MARLEY is wearing a red cape, wearing horns on the sides of his head, speaking loudly into a megaphone.

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "I want Halloween to be a time to cherish in this town. It should not be a time of great distress or regret - it should be a spoooookkkky holiday! We have Sleepy Hollow, the Grand Guignol, Dracula's castle...now we have Michael Myers' house!"

The crowd roars, mostly young people in their teens and twenties. 

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "That is right my fellow citizens! Michael Myers' house will be transformed into its own grand guignol of horrors. We will replicate the murders that occurred on that dreaded Halloween night in 1978, with actors of course! We will also sell Michael Myers' T-shirts, masks, real knives, the whole nine yards!"

The crowd roars again. SHERIFF BRACKETT is visibly upset. JESSICA shakes her head in disbelief. She turns to see some older people in their seemingly late 70's sitting on lawn chairs, applauding, as if a freak show of this magnitude fascinates and repels at the same time. 

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "As of today, thanks to the courts who allowed all this happen, Michael Myers Day is official! Now, I abhor violence. It is wrong and what Myers had wrought on this town is horrific. However, I am like the average horror fan - I love to see people dying, especially on screen! And thanks to the return of our own media hero, Jessica Crane, Halloween lives and breathes again."

The crowd roars again. Some scream out, "Michael Myers is awesome."

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: (Holding his left arm out) "So, tomorrow is Halloween. Let's celebrate at the Myers' house for the ultimate experience in terror!"

SHERIFF BRACKETT quickly approaches the stage and takes away MARLEY's megaphone.

LEIGH BRACKETT: "You young people disgust me! Is this what Halloween is about? Triviliazing the deaths of so many young people taken from us by that monster! Is this how you want to remember them? By this demoralizing, cruel theatre that this sick man (pointing to MARLEY) has proposed - a recreation of the murders that occurred in that Myers house? (Long Pause as he peruses the crowd) My daughter Annie was one of them!"

The crowd falls silent for a second, and then a couple of voices yell, "GET OFF THE STAGE!"

LEIGH BRACKETT is grabbed by a couple of bulky, tall bodyguards and is whisked off stage.

LEIGH BRACKETT: (struggling) "You bastards! I am the sheriff of this town!"

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: (Looking at BRACKETT) "You're nothing! Just a disposable old man! You don't even have any power here anymore! (Pause, faces the crowd) Long live Michael Myers and the Halloween tradition!"

Crowd cheers, though some distinct jeers are heard in the background. 

LEIGH BRACKETT is taken to the bottom of the stage by two bodyguards who throw him to the ground. BRACKETT picks himself up and is ready to discharge his firearm when he is stopped by ex-SHERIFF and ex-DEPUTY GARY HUNT.

HUNT: "No Leigh! Not here!"

The two bodyguards stand back with chains in their hands. 

HUNT: "Not now! Not this way!" 

HUNT, slightly heavier build and just as tall as he once was, escorts BRACKETT away from the crowd. JESSICA follows them. 

INT. LEIGH BRACKETT'S HOME - NIGHT.

SHERIFF BRACKETT, GARY HUNT and JESSICA CRANE enter BRACKETT'S home. BRACKETT turns to HUNT.

BRACKETT: (Shouting) "Those damn kids! That goddamn Marley the Magnificent! How on this green earth did he get past the blockade? How?"

HUNT: (Arms outstretched to BRACKETT, trying to calm him down) "I don't know, Leigh. I don't know."

BRACKETT turns to JESSICA, clenching his teeth again.

BRACKETT: "You know why? Don't you?"

JESSICA: "I was let in-"

BRACKETT smacks JESSICA's face. 

HUNT holds back BRACKETT.

HUNT: "Leigh! What the hell are you doing?" 

BRACKETT: "I want answers! This was a peaceful town before this damn broad came here!"

JESSICA: "Peaceful?! When? There are people in this town suffering! You think I agree with that spectacle out there? That sorry excuse for humanity?"

BRACKETT pushes HUNT's arms out of the way.

BRACKETT: "Alright, alright." 

BRACKETT sits down on his comfy leather sofa chair. 

HUNT: "Are you calm now, Leigh?"

BRACKETT: "Yeah, yeah. (Long pause) Go home now, Gary. Just go. I'll call you tomorrow."

HUNT: "Alright, Leigh. Don't do anything stupid. Tomorrow we'll check out what is happening at the military base and Hangar 68. Okay?"

BRACKETT: "Alright, I'll try them again tonight."

HUNT: "Okay, get some sleep." (Looks at JESSICA and then opens the front door and walks out)

BRACKETT stares at JESSICA.

BRACKETT: "I am sorry I hit you. (JESSICA nods) But I need some answers, and I need them now."

JESSICA: "I've already told you everything."

The phone rings. BRACKETT answers the phone, an old push-button landline phone. 

BRACKETT: "Yeah? (Pause) What? Alright, you take care of it. I'll see you in the morning." (Hangs up the phone)

JESSICA: "Who was that?" 

BRACKETT: "That was Hunt. He just informed me that a few disciples of Marley's found two bodies. They might match the description of your two crew members."

JESSICA: "What? (Puts her hand on her head, as if she was ashamed) Oh, my, God."

BRACKETT: "We'll get a confirmation from the coroner tomorrow morning. (Looks up at the den adjoining his living room) Come with me."

INT. BRACKETT'S DEN - HOUSE - NIGHT.

BRACKETT walks over to the den with JESSICA following behind him. He removes a picture of ANNIE BRACKETT hanging on the wall and there is a small alarm system where he punches in a password. The wall shifts to the left, revealing a smaller room. It has concrete walls, a CB radio terminal, a desk, a cell phone and a computer.

JESSICA: "I thought no computers were allowed in Haddonfield nor cell phones or any radio equipment."

BRACKETT: "I worked out a deal with an old Army buddy I know at the base. Since there is no police station in town, I do my own work from in here. Gotta keep the peace somehow."

He turns on his computer and on the screen reads an Internet news article. 

BRACKETT: "This article is from the Pontiac Examiner. It says in clear, plain English the following: (reading the article) 'Jessica Crane, the notorious Chicago TV reporter, was found dead in a car crash approximately 75 miles from Haddonfield on route 66. The car had flipped over several times and landed with the hood completely flattened. Nobody else was in the car at that time.' (Looks at JESSICA) Shall I continue?"

JESSICA: "I can explain."

BRACKETT: "Oh, please do." (smiling)

JESSICA: "I was in a coma. I came out of it about six months later. That is all."

BRACKETT: "Bullshit. You think I was born yesterday dear?"

JESSICA: (Looking and touching the computer screen) "You see there is a photo on that screen, isn't there?"

BRACKETT: "No, there is no photo at all. (Scrolls down the article page and sees a photo of JESSICA CRANE) Well, I'll be. (Looks at JESSICA) It is you."

JESSICA sits back down.

BRACKETT: "Well, why would the article claim you are dead...when you are alive?"

JESSICA: "I had to fake my death. I was receiving death threats everyday in regards to my first documentary film, 'The Shape Returns'. I was being stalked and one man found out where I lived. So I had to hide."

BRACKETT: "Yes, but, people know you are alive. All of these people came into town knowing about you. How do you explain that?"

JESSICA: "I have a league of fans, approximately 2,000 friends on facebook. They know of me. I am just a sideshow attraction, not unlike Michael Myers. A nice little footnote to the legacy. It is easy to pretend you are someone you are not." (smiling)

BRACKETT: "Now you sound no different than that Marley charlatan."

JESSICA crosses her arms.

BRACKETT: "Alright, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now. But we got bigger fish to fry. For one, we've got a bunch of sick hooligans out there whom I can't get rid of without the National Guard. I've got two murders, possibly your own crew members. Nobody at the base is getting back in touch with me."

JESSICA sits for a second in one of BRACKETT's chairs, thinking. 

JESSICA: (looks up at BRACKETT) "It is Michael Myers, he's back."

BRACKETT: "Oh, come on."

JESSICA: "Do you think anyone in this town would commit murder? Or any of Marley's circus group?"

BRACKETT: "Nobody in this town would commit a murder. There hasn't been a murder in Haddonfield since 1995, not one. Until now."

JESSICA: "It has to be Michael Myers. I-I saw him earlier."

BRACKETT: (Laughs) "You saw Michael Myers earlier? Jesus! Get to talk to him?" (Chuckling)

JESSICA: "I am serious, Leigh."

BRACKETT: "Hey, you don't get to call me Leigh. You haven't earned the right. Sheriff Brackett will do. (Pause) Besides, what if you killed them?"

JESSICA: "You are joking!"

BRACKETT: "Cover up your tracks, especially your presumed faking of your death. Why should I believe you didn't do it?"

JESSICA: "My grandfather, Sam Loomis, had told me prior to his disappearance that Michael Myers was not just evil incarnate - he was an invocation of the supernatural. Like all of our mythological creatures of the night, Myers was no different from ghosts, goblins, witches, vampires and the like. Michael is not human, has no intelligence, no remorse, no emotion. He is a reminder of us at our most bestial, our most shallow. He can't be stopped and will not be...ever."

BRACKETT: "Tell me something I do not know. He's been contained Jessica. That Myers perversion is nothing but a bag of bones."

JESSICA: "Michael has risen. And I can stop him."

BRACKETT: "How, pretell, will you stop him?"

JESSICA: "That is for me to know, and for you to find out."

INT. BRACKETT'S HOUSE - DEN - NIGHTTIME - 3AM.

BRACKETT sits alone is his secret room in the den, at his desk. He picks up the CB transmitter, trying to get in touch with HANGAR 68. 

BRACKETT: "Hangar 68, this is Sheriff Brackett in Haddonfield, come in please. (lots of noise heard but no signal) Hangar 68, this is Sheriff Brackett in Haddonfield, come in please."

NOISE is still heard and a distant VOICE seems to be coming through.

BRACKETT: "Come in again, who is it?"

VOICE: "Marion Cham-"

BRACKETT: "Marion, who?"

VOICE: (muffled) "Marion Chambers...get out of Haddonfield...now."

BRACKETT: "Marion Chambers? Is this a Halloween joke?"

NOISE is heard but no signal.

BRACKETT: "Hangar 68, come in please! Hangar 68, come in please!"

EXT. BRACKETT'S HOUSE - FOLLOWING DAY.

TITLE: OCTOBER 31st, HALLOWEEN

Older kids are seen playing around, dressed in costumes that range from Wicked Witch to Oompa Loompas, Star Wars characters, etc. A car pulls up in front of SHERIFF LEIGH BRACKETT'S HOUSE. It is GARY HUNT. HUNT walks up to the front door and rings the bell. BRACKETT opens the door and HUNT goes inside.

INT. BRACKETT'S HOUSE - DAY.

HUNT: "You look like you have seen a ghost." (closes the front door)

BRACKETT: "I think I heard a ghost."

HUNT: "What?"

BRACKETT: "Last night, I tried again to contact Hangar 68. I heard someone that sounded like Marion Chambers' voice."

HUNT: "That is impossible, Leigh. Marion died years ago."

BRACKETT: "Something is going on at that base. I know it. Meet me at Haddonfield Town Square in an hour. We have to pick up Jessica at the B&B and take her to the coroner. And then we are going to that base. Something wicked."

EXT. BRACKETT'S HOUSE - DAY.

BRACKETT and HUNT leave in BRACKETT'S police car. They drive off. A kid is prancing around in a Michael Myers mask with a head full of hair, not looking at anywhere except the ground. He walks into a man with a Michael Myers mask as well, only this time it is MICHAEL MYERS himself, wearing a green camouflage suit from the neck down. The kid walks around him, staring and then leaves running. MICHAEL MYERS turns around, facing the street that BRACKETT just drove off into and we see only MYER's shoulder and his point-of-view up the street.

INT. CORONER'S OFFICE - DAY.

JESSICA CRANE, BRACKETT and HUNT stand by two operating tables. There are two bodies covered in white sheets. The CORONER pulls the sheets out. HUNT and BRACKETT look back in terror, seeing a dismemberment and disemboweling they have not seen in ages. JESSICA turns around abruptly, almost choking in terror at what she sees. 

JESSICA: "Good...God!" (Covers her eyes as she looks back at the bodies)

BRACKETT: "Oh...my...Jesus. (Looks at CORONER) What could have caused this?"

CORONER: "A savage animal. A man could not do this."

JESSICA: "Michael Myers is not a man."

CORONER: "MIchael Myers? He is nothing but a bag of bones, isn't he?"

BRACKETT: (Shakes his head) "It isn't Myers. It is a Myers copycat. (JESSICA looks at BRACKETT in shock and BRACKETT looks right back at her) We don't know for sure. We won't know until we examine the scene of the murders carefully."

HUNT: "Whoever did this has an agenda."

EXT. CORONER'S OFFICE - DAY.

JESSICA, BRACKETT and HUNT step out of the building. 

BRACKETT: (turning to JESSICA) "I am sure you are shaken up. We'll do what we can but, rest assured, we are not dealing with Michael Myers. That monster died long ago. Okay?"

JESSICA: "For a former sergeant, you are quite naive. (Pause, as she looks down the road of Chestnut Street) I will go for a walk. I need to relieve this-well, what I've seen."

BRACKETT: (Turns to HUNT) "Okay, well, Gary, let's head up to the base and see what the hell is going on up there."

HUNT: "Will do. Don't you think we should question Marley first? He has brought a whole bunch of hooligans with him."

BRACKETT: "Alright. Go see Marley and I'll go to the base."

EXT. DEAD END STREET - DAY.

JESSICA CRANE walks up a street that has a dead end. A hill is seen at the dead end. A string of houses is seen behind her, there is also a witch shop called 'PILLEGI'S WITCHCRAFT'. She sees an older man sitting on the front porch of the shop, which is made to look more like a general store than anything else. This older man is DR. PILLEGI, a gray-haired man smoking a pipe. JESSICA looks back up at the hill.

DR. PILLEGI: "This is a dead-end street miss. You're not going to find much up there, trust me."

JESSICA: "What is up there?"

DR. PILLEGI: "An old cemetery, Haddonfield's haunted cemetery. Few ever speak of it."

JESSICA: "Why is that?"

DR. PILLEGI: (Smiles) "You're that Crane girl, right? The reporter who has come back to cause trouble in our town again?"

JESSICA: "Maybe I am. And you are Dr. Pillegi?"

DR. PILLEGI: "Yes, and this is my witch shop."

JESSICA: "Rather odd to have a witch shop adjacent to a cemetery, don't you think?"

DR. PILLEGI: "Rather odd that you would come back to town and exploit Michael and the residents of this town, don't you think?"

JESSICA: "You just said Michael."

PILLEGI: "And?"

JESSICA: "The mortality rate of this town is so high and, yet, you refer to him simply as Michael."

PILLEGI: "He is Michael Myers to us. How else should I refer to him as?"

JESSICA: (Walks towards PILLEGI) "You know the story of the Manson women?"

PILLEGI: "Regrettably, yes."

JESSICA: "Some of them still refer to Manson as Charlie. These women like Patricia Kernwikle and Leslie Van Houten, supposedly reformed killers, killing without much remorse at one point in their lives, they refer to Manson as Charlie. Just a pal they know. They should see him as a monster, an evil human being."

PILLEGI: "I forgive Michael for his transgressions."

JESSICA: "Is that what you call them?"

PILLEGI: "Yes, if you can't forgive, you can't forget."

JESSICA: "Do you forgive Michael for killing your daughter?"

PILLEGI: (Long pause as he looks up at JESSICA) "Pardon me, miss?"

JESSICA: "Pillegi is not your actual last name, is it? It is Van Der Klok. Nicholas Van Der Klok. Your daughter Lynda was killed back on Halloween night in 1978-"

PILLEGI: "This conversation is over, Miss Crane." (Stands up and is ready to enter his store)

JESSICA: "They are exploiting her murder in town tonight. Did you know that?"

PILLEGI turns around slowly to face JESSICA.

JESSICA: "Marley the Magnificent is back in town. He is recreating the Myers murders from 32 years ago."

PILLEGI: "That immoral bastard."

JESSICA: "Now would you please guide me to the cemetery, please?"

PILLEGI: "It'll cost you ten dollars for a tour."

EXT. HADDONFIELD CEMETERY - DAY.

JESSICA and DR. PILLEGI walk up the hill to the HADDONFIELD CEMETERY. It is surrounded by a high gated black fence and lots of trees. No cemetery plots can be seen. 

DR. PILLEGI: "This is it. The haunted cemetery. It has become a holy ground for us - something sacred. We dare not open its gates."

JESSICA: "There are no cemetery plots. No graves. Why is that?"

DR. PILLEGI: "The headstones were removed. We assume the bodies are still buried underneath. Fifteen years ago, during the night, someone removed the headstones and any trace that a body might be buried in the cemetery. To this day, we don't know who did this or why. Some believe it was Michael Myers and some believe it was Dr. Sam Loomis. See, here. (pointing at the fence) Touch it."

JESSICA touches part of the fence only to feel a slight electrical charge. 

JESSICA: "Is the fence electrified?"

DR. PILLEGI: "It feels like it is, but who did it? There are no wires anywhere. And see the bark on the trees? Notice the faded white on each one of them."

JESSICA: "Yes, that is odd."

DR. PILLEGI: "There is an old ghost story of the White Witch, the one who comes to a haunted town and performs a cleansing, only on October 31st. The White Witch would abolish all negative energy and vanquish the monster that haunts the town. Every Halloween, the bark in the trees turned white and the leaves turned purple. Legend says it was a sign of the arrival of the White Witch, the one who will heal, relieve some of the terror, the pain and the anguish that ravaged a town, any town.(Long pause) It isn't so much that Michael Myers or Loomis have brought evil to this town - it's just settled in and refuses to go away, like a tattoo. Well, this is the first time that the trees have started to turn white, and the leaves have a slight purplish glow to them. Coincidence?"

JESSICA: (noticing something even more odd on the grounds) "What are those spikes around there, strategically placed around the cemetery?"

DR. PILLEGI: "The Native Americans that were slaughtered back in the day had their heads put through these spikes. Very grisly, and a shame that nobody ever got rid of them - the spikes I mean." 

JESSICA pauses, reflecting on what DR. PILLEGI has said. Slowly, the ambient sounds around her start to fade away. A wind picks up sending her a slight chill. She turns around to see DR. PILLEGI absolutely motionless, as if nothing seems to faze him. JESSICA feels a presence, turns around and sees a woman behind the fence. It is KARA STRODE, LAURIE STRODE'S cousin, dressed in a white dress and barefoot. 

KARA STRODE: "Why are you...here?"

JESSICA: "Who are you?"

KARA STRODE: "I am Kara, Kara Strode. Now why (pointing at JESSICA) are you here?"

JESSICA: "I am here to redeem my sins."

KARA STRODE: "Redemption? (LAUGHS) Redeem yourself from what? You caused us pain, but you can't relieve it. You can't make up for it. (Pause) Redemption is not for sale in Haddonfield."

JESSICA: "You left Haddonfield? Didn't you? You left with your son? Why are you back here?"

KARA STRODE: "My son left me...my little Danny's soul had taken a leave of absence. He was committed to Smith's Grove for hypertension, for aggressive behavior. And he left me...left me to pick up the pieces. I had stayed at Smith's Grove as well, admitted for cutting myself (KARA lifts her arms to her waist, showing the scars on her wrists. JESSICA looks down and notices them) And you, you come into this town, and you report on that monster whom I vainly tried to destroy, and you leave nothing but a springboard of despair and pain. Pain so thick that it feels like you left hundreds of razor blades on the ground for us to step on. (Pause, as the pain is expressed in her eyes) So much pain, so many deaths...and you left us." 

JESSICA: "I left...you?"

KARA STRODE: (Long pause) You left us, you let us suffer."

JESSICA feels a slight rumble, looks below at her feet, then suddenly feels all the ambient sounds returning, slowly turning her head back to face KARA STRODE who is now gone. 

DR. PILLEGI: "Jessica? Jessica? Are you still with us?"

JESSICA: "Yes, yes-yes, I am."

DR. PILLEGI: "It is as if you were under a trance. Are you okay?"

JESSICA: "Yes, yes, I am fine. I had a vision."

DR. PILLEGI: "You might be clairvoyant. I told you this place is haunted. Let's get out of here."

EXT. DR. PILLEGI'S WITCH SHOP - DAY.

DR. PILLEGI and JESSICA return to his WITCH SHOP. 

DR. PILLEGI: "You look like you could use a cigarette."

JESSICA: "I don't smoke."

DR. PILLEGI: "That's funny. I do remember you smoking quite a bit at one time. We all should relinquish our vices."

JESSICA: "I quit a while ago."

DR. PILLEGI: (Lighting his pipe) "Are you married? Kids?"

JESSICA: "No, never got around to it."

DR. PILLEGI: "Many people in this town never got around to it either. The government started cutting funding for people in need here. Most of the money and resources go to that damn military base, like they really need it. The priorities in this town have gotten all mixed up. There are no psychiatrists in this town, the hospital closed down. All we got is that coroner who does routine physicals, maybe two or three days out of the week. No children are ever born either, not since 1995."

JESSICA: "Is that why Kara Strode left?"

DR. PILLEGI: "I helped Kara for a while, provided some money to her and her son. She was committed at Smith's Grove and she died there, penniless and without her son who had disappeared."

JESSICA: "So, you have offered some consoling. People come to you, don't they?"

DR. PILLEGI: "I listen to their problems, and maybe do a reading. Business has been slow."

EXT. MICHAEL MYERS' HOUSE - AFTERNOON.

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT is watching his men building props and mock-ups for his Halloween show later that day. GARY HUNT arrives in his car, a beaten-up Oldsmobile.

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: (Looking at HUNT) "The cavalry has arrived, to do away with the evil that men do. Isn't that right?" 

GARY HUNT approaches MARLEY after getting out of his car.

HUNT: "What do you think you are doing? We kicked you out of town years ago. You come back here for what?"

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "When I heard Jessica Crane was coming back for an encore, I couldn't just sit back and do nothing. I had to act! I had to commemorate the greatest killer of our times! The one and only Michael Myers! Give the Halloween crowd the chance to celebrate blood and guts and entrails!"

HUNT grabs MARLEY by his collar. The two bodyguards come to MARLEY's aid. MARLEY holds his hand out to stop them from advancing on HUNT.

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "Let this disposable, washed-up man of the law have his word. (Pause) Go on."

HUNT: "Listen you sick fuck, I had to keep my mouth shut for years but no more. This whole little enterprise you got going here is not entertainment, you hear me? Violence is not entertainment."

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "It isn't? What is it then? Blood is life, isn't it? What would give one greater pleasure then to see blood spilled if it isn't for anything other than entertainment?"

HUNT still grabbing MARLEY's collar observes one worker carrying a life-size animatronic statue of Michael Myers. Another worker carries an assortment of knives in a plastic case. 

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "When you pulled the trigger in your heyday, what went through your mind?"

HUNT lets go of MARLEY's collar.

HUNT: "I never killed anyone, ever."

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "Your loss, my gain." (Straightens his collar and adjust his cape)

HUNT: (pointing his finger at MARLEY) "If I hear of anything getting out of line tonight, anything at all, I'll have you deported from here."

MARLEY remains silent and walks into the house. HUNT notices a sign that reads 'For tonight's reenactment of the 1978 murders, everyone MUST wear a Michael Myers mask'.  HUNT shakes his head and walks back to his car. 

INT. CHELSEA MOORE'S HOUSE - LATE AFTERNOON.

CHELSEA MOORE sits on her chair, staring at her collage of photos of her late sister, ALICE. CHELSEA gets up from her chair, walks past the living room and notices that the Michael Myers mask that was hanging on her wall is missing. A bloody handprint on the wall is in its place. CHELSEA is scared, touches the wall and smells the blood on her finger. 

INT. SHERIFF BRACKETT'S POLICE CAR - LATE AFTERNOON.

SHERIFF BRACKETT is driving in his car, headed towards HANGAR 68. He stops at a red light, still in the town of HADDONFIELD. He looks at a picture of his late daughter, ANNIE BRACKETT, which is on the edge of his rearview mirror. BRACKETT smiles, feeling his daughter is still with him, watching over him.

INT. CHELSEA MOORE'S HOUSE - LATE AFTERNOON.

CHELSEA MOORE, now disturbed that her Michael Myers mask is gone, steps in her bedroom, retrieves a small wooden case in her nighttable drawer. She pulls out a gun, and several bullets. She blesses every bullet by kissing each one, and then puts them in the gun's chamber. 

INT. SHERIFF BRACKETT'S POLICE CAR - LATE AFTERNOON.

SHERIFF BRACKETT is driving through the main road that leads to HANGAR 68. He drives past some young adults who are carrying trick or treat bags, walking on the side of the road and giving BRACKETT the middle finger. BRACKETT shakes his head, understandably puzzled how they got past the military blockade. He drives past the foggy bank, and sees the bodies of soldiers' laying on the ground and with pools of blood collected around them. BRACKETT is now scared, driving past some overturned jeeps with soldiers laying in and around them, as if they were in several car wrecks. He stops at the blockade rather suddenly. There is smoke everywhere and a small fire erupting from an overturned jeep. On the wall that separates the blockade from HANGAR 68, he can see a sign written in blood that reads 'SAMHAIN: SEASON OF WHITE WITCH'. 

BRACKETT: "Myers." 

EXT. JESSICA CRANE'S VAN - DRIVING DOWN MAIN ST. - DUSK.

JESSICA CRANE is driving in her van, all dressed up in a black Catwoman suit. Her hair is up and she is wearing her Celtic cross around her neck. As she is driving to the MICHAEL MYERS' house, she sees a bunch of people in the streets dressed as Michael Myers, many wearing the various masks the Shape has been known for wearing. We can call them Michael Myers CLONES. She also sees some of them walking up the street, brandishing their knives as they glint with the moonlight. 

EXT. CHELSEA MOORE'S HOUSE - NIGHT.

CHELSEA MOORE walks out of her house, and proceeds to walk up the street to Michael Myers' house. She sees several people costumed in Michael Myers' truck driver outfit and wearing Myers's masks. CHELSEA is not wearing a costume, just simple jeans and a black suede jacket with a gun in her jacket pocket. 

EXT. MICHAEL MYERS' HOUSE - NIGHT.

JESSICA CRANE arrives at the Myers house and gets out of the van. She sees a bunch of Myers' fans parading around MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT as he continuously strikes a pumpkin down a makeshift spike until it hits the ground. The pumpkin then lights up electronically with flames shooting out of its carved eyes. 

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "Michael Myers lives! The show has begun!"

MARLEY leads the group of Michael Myers CLONES into the Myers house. JESSICA proceeds entering the house when she is stopped by GARY HUNT.

HUNT: "Jessica, you're not going in there, are you?"

JESSICA: "Yes, I am. Morbid curiosity, I suppose."

HUNT: "I am going to keep watch. Too many people around here. Anything can happen" (looks around the neighborhood surrounding the MYERS house).  

JESSICA: "Any word from Sheriff Brackett yet?"

HUNT: "No, still waiting to hear something. Couldn't contact him with my CB radio either. All these cell phones in town cause an interference."

JESSICA: "I am going in. Let me know when Brackett arrives."

HUNT: (Grabs her arm) "Be careful in there."

JESSICA: "I am a big girl, I can take it."

INT. MICHAEL MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT.

A seating room is arranged in the living room with a makeshift stage set up. MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT steps out on stage facing a bunch of Michael Myers CLONES sitting and observing in silence, all wearing Michael Myers masks. JESSICA stays in the back of the room.

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "Tonight! (Arms outstretched) Is the night he came home! The night of October 31st, 1978 when the awesome Michael Myers stepped out and committed three brutal murders. First murder is Annie Brackett, sitting in her car as she is strangled."

A car prop is brought out on stage with an actress pretending to be Annie Brackett. She is wiping her front window while seated in the driver's seat when she is attacked from behind by a Michael Myers lookalike. Myers then stabs her in the throat. She dies, and then the lights dim on the car prop. 

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "Next came Lynda van der Klok. She is sitting in bed waiting for her boyfriend to step in bed with her when he arrives and is dressed in a white sheet, wearing only glasses."

An actress pretending to be Lynda sits in bed, another prop on the stage, as she says, "See anything you like?" The boyfriend says nothing. The actress says, "Boy, you are weird!" and begins calling her friend Laurie Strode. The boyfriend approaches the actress and strangles her with the phone cord. She passes out on the floor, and the white sheet is removed. It is not the boyfriend but Michael Myers. Lights dim on the bed prop set. 

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "Sorry, we screwed up onstage here. The next murder was supposed to be the boyfriend who is stabbed by Michael Myers, um..."

A woman can be heard screaming at the top of her lungs behind the curtains onstage. It is a young blonde girl, dressed in a slutty prostitute outfit and her body is being carried by MICHAEL MYERS, dressed in a camouflage suit. She is laid on top of a fake concrete slab onstage.

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "Um, this is not part of the program. What murder is this from?"

JESSICA takes a step forward, thinking something is wrong. 

The blonde screams for her life.

BLONDE: "Please, please, somebody help me! For the love of god, please! Help me!"

Michael Myers holds her throat with his left arm. His right arm holds a butcher knife. 

BLONDE: (Gapsing for air) "Oh, my, God!!! PLEASE! HELP ME! THIS IS REAL! PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!"

The audience of Michael Myers CLONES sit and stare, as if this was the act of murder that keeps them in a trance, more so than the previous acts. MICHAEL MYERS raises the knife and gently, slowly begins to pierce the BLONDE's chest.

BLONDE: "NO! PLEASE GOD! NO!!!!"

MICHAEL MYERS then suddenly thrusts the knife deeper into her body. She gasps for air until she passes out and dies. MICHAEL takes the knife out of her body, which is completely bloodied, and walks out, behind the curtains. A Michael Myers CLONE in the audience removes his mask and throws up.

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "Wow. That is the definition of macabre. You've done well, sir. A big round of applause for Michael Myers - it is his night!"

The Michael Myers CLONES rise from their seats and begin applauding. JESSICA is mortified, wondering what she has just seen. She races over to the stage and looks at the BLONDE girl. She touches her neck and there is no pulse. This was not theatre, this was real. The Myers CLONES begin leaving from the room. 

JESSICA: "Marley! This was no act. The girl is really dead!"

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: (Not paying attention to JESSICA as he shouts to his audience) "People, please go to the lobby and buy a Mike Myers shirt! And get a brand new deluxe DVD edition of 'The Shape Returns'."

JESSICA: "MARLEY! Get some HELP! This girl is really DEAD!"

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "Hush, now, Jessica. Don't be so overdramatic. This is theatre!"

EXT. MICHAEL MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT.

CHELSEA MOORE is walking on the sidewalk leading to Michael Myers house when she begins to divert from the sidewalk, and walks on the grass lawn. SHERIFF BRACKETT's POLICE CAR is heard roaring up the street in front of Michael Myers house. CHELSEA comes up to a couple of teenagers, one is a YOUNG BRUNETTE dressed as a slutty nurse and the other has a Michael Myers mask on. YOUNG BRUNETTE turns around and notices CHELSEA. 

CHELSEA: (to the YOUNG BRUNETTE) "It is kids like you who think murder is a joke, right?"

YOUNG BRUNETTE: "Excuse me? Happy Halloween to you too, bitch." (YOUNG BRUNETTE turns around and faces her boyfriend)

CHELSEA picks up her gun and aims it at the YOUNG BRUNETTE. 

CHELSEA: "Why don't you turn around and face your maker?"

As the YOUNG BRUNETTE turns around, a SHOT is heard as YOUNG BRUNETTE is shot in the head twice by CHELSEA. The boyfriend with the Myers mask steps back. SHERIFF BRACKETT gets out of his police car and takes out his gun. A horde of people scream. BRACKETT FIRES his gun into the air. 

BRACKETT: "EVERYONE, STEP BACK!" (aims his gun at CHELSEA)

INT. MICHAEL MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT.

JESSICA hears the commotion and runs out of the house. HUNT is outside, looking at CHELSEA.

EXT. MICHAEL MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT.

SHERIFF BRACKETT aims his gun at CHELSEA.

BRACKETT: "Chelsea! Put down the gun right now! Don't make me shoot you!"

JESSICA: "NO!"

HUNT holds back JESSICA. JESSICA stares at HUNT with those green eyes that turn brighter. HUNT steps back, unsure of what to make of JESSICA.

CHELSEA: (Crying) "These kids are celebrating my sister's death. They are celebrating a monster who killed her. She never did anything to anyone."

BRACKETT: "Put down the gun, Chelsea! NOW!"

A Michael Myers CLONE steps over to the YOUNG BRUNETTE's body, limp and lifeless as she lays there. He takes out his cell phone and begins recording her. 

CLONE #1: "Awesome. Look at those brains."

BRACKETT FIRES a shot and hits CHELSEA on the right shoulder. CHELSEA DROPS her gun. The CLONE steps away, still recording the whole event. 

JESSICA: "NO! CHELSEA!"

As JESSICA runs over to CHELSEA, she stops dead on her tracks. She sees a familiar face behind CHELSEA, approaching from the darkness. It is MICHAEL MYERS, dressed in the camouflage suit. CHELSEA turns around to face MICHAEL MYERS and SCREAMS! CHELSEA takes JESSICA by her left arm and drags her away.

JESSICA: "It is the evil itself! The one I warned you about! He must be vanquished! It is the real MICHAEL MYERS!"

JESSICA and CHELSEA run inside the MICHAEL MYERS house. 

BRACKETT sees it is the real MICHAEL MYERS and begins firing his gun at MYERS. The bullets deflect, causing him no harm whatsoever. A bunch of CLONES approach MICHAEL MYERS with their cell phones. MYERS begins punching each one in the head, breaking every neck as he approaches BRACKETT. MYERS picks up BRACKETT by the throat with both of his hands, slowly crushing it. MYERS throws BRACKETT into a tree. HUNT rushes over to him. 

HUNT: "Oh, my god, Leigh!"

BRACKETT: (slowly turning his head to face HUNT) "Gary, the whole-the whole base has been slaughtered. They are gone...all of them."

BRACKETT dies. HUNT holds his friend close to his chest. 

INT. MICHAEL MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT.

JESSICA and CHELSEA run into the house. They see MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT by the staircase.

JESSICA: "Marley! Get out of this house! Michael Myers is coming!"

JESSICA puts CHELSEA's left arm around her shoulder since CHELSEA's right arm is bleeding profusely. They run up the stairs. MARLEY sees MICHAEL MYERS coming in his direction as MYERS continues to punch the CLONES out of his path. 

MARLEY THE MAGNIFICENT: "I've been looking forward to this for a long time, Michael."

MICHAEL MYERS enters the house and heads straight up the staircase, ignoring MARLEY completely. MARLEY looks shaken up and scared, knowing he has just experienced real evil. 

EXT. MICHAEL MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT. 

MARLEY exits the door. He sees YOUNG BRUNETTE on the ground, dead. MARLEY shakes his head, falls to the ground on his knees and puts his hand over his eyes. 

INT. MICHAEL MYERS HOUSE - ATTIC - NIGHT.

JESSICA and CHELSEA enter the ATTIC, close the door immediately and lock it. JESSICA takes CHELSEA to the corner of the ATTIC. JESSICA pulls out her shawl and wraps it tightly around CHELSEA's arm. CHELSEA screams. 

JESSICA: "We've got to keep pressure on it."

CHELSEA: (Crying, smeared blood on her face) "Jessica, I didn't mean to shoot that girl. I didn't mean to do it. They trivialized my sister! They made her an anomaly! I didn't mean to do it...I killed that poor girl! She had nothing to do with anything! Oh, my, God!!!"

JESSICA: "Hey, look at me. (Puts her hands on CHELSEA's face) There is nothing we can do about it now. We have to stay strong! Do you HEAR ME?"

A POUNDING is heard at the ATTIC entrance door. It gets LOUDER and LOUDER. JESSICA looks around the room and sees a pickaxe. She also notices a display of knives inserted into a cardboard mock-up of Michael Myers. The door is broken through completely, as if it was made of papier mache. MICHAEL MYERS enters, focusing his eyes on JESSICA. JESSICA leaves CHELSEA and walks over to the middle of the room, lifts the pickaxe from the floor. MICHAEL MYERS looks at CHELSEA and slowly approaches her. 

CHELSEA: (quivering and frightened) "Michael!"

MICHAEL MYERS stops, tilts his head, and proceeds to walk towards CHELSEA. 

JESSICA: "Michael! STOP! You don't want her. You want me!"

CHELSEA: "Kill me, you sonofabitch! Kill me!"

MICHAEL MYERS tilts his head, turns to face JESSICA and walks towards her. He comes up to the mock-up of himself, tilts his head again, and pulls a knife out of the mock-up. It is a real knife.

JESSICA: "Come on, you MOTHERFUCKER!"

MICHAEL MYERS approaches JESSICA with his knife aimed at her from his hip. JESSICA quickly runs up to MICHAEL and begins swinging the pickaxe at MICHAEL. She hits him from one side of his face to the next. Cuts appear on his mask and begin to heal immediately, leaving nothing but slit holes in the mask. 

JESSICA swings again and MICHAEL stops her by holding her wrist. He knocks her clean across the room with the pickaxe handle to her head. MICHAEL begins to walk towards her with the pickaxe blade dragging across the floor. The room starts to shake a little. CHELSEA notices this.

JESSICA has a bloodied face and nose. She gets up slowly.

JESSICA: "If you kill me Michael, then I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. You might be stronger than before, perhaps more evolved, but you can't withstand the test of time. Not forever."

The ATTIC room shakes again. MICHAEL MYERS swings the pickaxe and jams it right through JESSICA's chest, lifting JESSICA up by the pickaxe alone. JESSICA grabs the pickaxe with her two hands.

CHELSEA: "NO!"

Blood comes out of JESSICA's mouth.

JESSICA: "God might forgive you. (spitting out more blood) But I don't!"

MICHAEL MYERS adjust the pickaxe and throws JESSICA through the ATTIC window. She falls flat on her back on the street below. We see JESSICA is dead, spread out on the street. MICHAEL MYERS throws the pickaxe down, walks over to the broken ATTIC window and looks out at his handiwork. JESSICA CRANE is gone! MICHAEL MYERS tilts his head again, seeing the blood but no body. MICHAEL walks across the room, stops, looks at CHELSEA. CHELSEA looks at him, still quivering with a bloodied right arm. MICHAEL grabs his knife, walks towards CHELSEA, outstretches his hand to her face, wiping the blood smeared on her face. He smells it, then with great force punches his hand through the wall. MICHAEL walks out of the ATTIC. CHELSEA begins crying uncontrollably. 

EXT. MICHAEL MYERS HOUSE - NIGHT.

MICHAEL MYERS walks out of the house, sees no one on the street though we hear a distant echo of screams in the background. He walks to the blood on the street, kneels down to touch it and notices that it leaves a trail beyond the street. JESSICA CRANE is still alive. Out of nowhere, a Michael Myers CLONE comes up to MICHAEL. CLONE removes his mask, holding a cell phone. 

CLONE #1: "You are the Michael Myers, aren't you? The real deal?"

MICHAEL MYERS turns around, looks at the kid.

CLONE #1: "Do me a favor, man. Kill me. Kill me with this knife (he pulls one out of his knapsack). I am recording this event on my cell phone for my fans who have waited and hoped that they would see the man himself. Kill me, kill me for my fans. I can't tell you how long I've waited for this. Come on, Myers."

CLONE tries to hand the knife to MYERS. MYERS looks at it but doesn't take it from him.  

CLONE #1: "Come on Michael! My fans are waiting - they are watching this live. They'll get to see the first live confirmed kill ever!"

GARY HUNT approaches the CLONE from behind the tree and aims his gun at him.

HUNT: "Stop right there, kid! Get away from him! He's dangerous!"

CLONE: "Well, duh."

HUNT: "Step back, right now!"

At that second, MICHAEL MYERS grabs the CLONE's collar. 

HUNT: "No!"

HUNT fires two shots. They both hit the CLONE who falls to the ground, dead. HUNT has a pained expression, not realizing he missed MICHAEL MYERS completely and only killed the kid. HUNT drops to his knees and drops his gun. MICHAEL MYERS looks down at the CLONE, looks at the cell phone, steps on it and breaks it to smithereens, and takes off walking in the direction of the trail of blood. CHELSEA comes out of MICHAEL MYERS HOUSE, looking back at the house, walking over to HUNT. She kneels beside him and puts her hand on his shoulder. A car pulls up to them. It is DR. PILLEGI.

DR. PILLEGI: "Gary! Chelsea! Get in!"

HUNT and CHELSEA stare at DR. PILLEGI, both freaked beyond belief by the incidents they have encountered.

DR. PILLEGI: "Come on...let's get out of this town. We are not needed here anymore."

HUNT helps up CHELSEA to DR. PILLEGI's car. They get in and drive away, headed out of Haddonfield.

EXT. HADDONFIELD CEMETERY - EARLY DAWN.

MICHAEL MYERS approaches the high gated black fence surrounding the CEMETERY. He sees the blood trail extends beyond the fence. He also notices that the blood trail starts to slowly seep away into the ground. MICHAEL's camouflage collar is suddenly grabbed by someone and his head is pulled into the fence. A shock of electrical energy shoots into MICHAEL. MICHAEL MYERS jerks himself back, seeing no one behind the fence. He touches the fence with his hand and feels another electrical charge. His hand burns but does not heal. A voice is heard.

KARA STRODE: "Welcome Michael. See anything you like?" (LAUGHS)

MICHAEL MYERS tries to grab KARA but electrical shock after electrical shock strikes MICHAEL, badly burning his hands and arms since they do not heal.

KARA STRODE: "For years, you've cause so much pain to so many. Now you'll experience your victims' pain firsthand."

KARA grabs MICHAEL's collar again and his head pulled into the fence. KARA laughs maniacally as electrical charges seep through MICHAEL's body and through the eyes hole of his mask. His whole body suddenly EXPLODES, leaving behind a red vapor mist in the air. MICHAEL's head is severed as it lands on the other side of the fence and into one of several spikes sticking out of the ground. KARA strikes the head deeper into the spike with a mallet. As it lands deeper into the ground, KARA holds her mallet in the air victoriously. THUNDER is heard as it starts raining.

KARA: "Michael Myers has FALLEN! (Pauses) HADDONFIELD LIVES!"

MICHAEL MYERS' head starts to melt away. We then race through the cemetery as headstones start to appear, the trees's bark has turned whiter than before and the leaves have turned purple. A figure is seen standing near a mausoleum. It appears to be praying, wearing a white cloak with a faint purple colored hood. The Celtic cross worn around the figure is red, the skin is a deep, ghostly white. The figure's eyes are closed and then suddenly open, revealing black eyes, the blackest of eyes. It is...the WHITE WITCH. It is JESSICA CRANE.
